  • Kaanti is a cosmetics brand that combats the lack of AAPI representation in the Western beauty industry by utilizing elements of our cultural practices and aesthetics. We aim to be an inclusive, luxurious, yet approachable brand that makes people feel seen and proud of their radiance.

Process

Innovating My Past Work!

This idea began as a brand design assignment for PIXEL Graphic Design club during my presidency. I had chosen colors, fonts, and created icons inspired by makeup brands I saw at drug stores and online.

Logo Design

I continued my experimentation with negative and positive space, shapes, and the Lust font on Adobe Illustrator.

Final Logo

The gradient is inspired by satin fabric that matches our themes of luxury and radiance.

Color Scheme

My color scheme is based off of iconic symbols from different Asian cultures.

Mood Board

This was my creative warmup before I got into designing the product packaging and advertisements! It helped me become comfortable using my photography, fonts, and color scheme in tandem with the brand message.

Our products cater to our audience! With shade inclusivity and the intentional use of ingredients from ancient Asian wellness practices.
